We reported here recently about the Nobel Laureates calling for release of Golden Rice. Another voice has joined the fray: Patrick Moore, self-described “sensible environmentalist” and a “Greenpeace dropout”. Patrick’s credentials are numerous (although GreenPeace disputes his ‘founding’ status), but his views on nuclear energy and climate change make him anything but a tree-hugger. Moore spoke Monday at a three-day event in Fargo, N.D. with more than 50 speakers from around the world at the Agricultural Bioscience International Conference.
In particular, Moore spoke about Greenpeace’s opposition to golden rice, saying
“Golden Rice is going to be real…We will overcome.”
